Each playable character's story takes place in a unique environment, with different factions and locations to explore and exploit. Smith is an idle loafer who might just save the world. Rook is an aging spy working his own agenda.

Sal is an adventurer out for profit and revenge. Three unique character campaigns with their own specialized decks, abilities and maps to explore. Death comes quickly, but each play offers new situations and strategies to explore. Every decision is important, be it the jobs you take, the friends you make, or the cards you collect. Griftlands holds an incredibly special place in all our hearts, but we can’t express our love enough for the people behind it. We’ve been fans from Early Access, Alpha, even from the start. Now, here we are at the 1.0 release, and we could not be more proud of you all.Griftlands is a deck-building rogue-like where you fight and negotiate your way through a broken-down sci-fi world. We held this fan-made jam both for fun, and as a love letter to the devs at Klei for their dedication and passion, and the journey of bringing the world of Havaria to life. While life events delayed us from sharing it sooner, we had a blast and were thrilled to have made something together despite having very little experience overall! (Also, the idea of making a fan-game before the actual game was technically even released really tickled us).

The jam lasted 3 days - with some prep work/cleanup performed before and after the jam itself by a few organizers. There were ~20 participants - of which only about 3-4 of us had any prior game dev or game jam experience.

This small fan game was born from a game jam in February of 2021, by a team of rowdy, passionate fans of Klei Entertainment's newest game, Griftlands (in Early Access at the time). Special Thanks and shoutout to everyone that participated in the jam! Now that Griftlands itself has released fully June 2021, we thought it would be the perfect time to share this little fan game for it and celebrate!
